Steering of Roaming Testing
Optimising Revenue from Preferred Partners’ Roaming networks
With Keynote SIGOS’ Steering of Roaming testing, we are able to evaluate the quality of Mobile Network Operator’s preferred roaming partners that offer better User Experience to its subscribers. We can monitor directly the quality impact delivered by these roaming partners. This generates increase in roaming traffic and also supporting Operators to achieve cost efficiencies.
Steering of Roaming (SoR) has been rolled out by Operators in order to direct their outbound roamers to preferred VPMNs in the roaming destinations.
In some cases just one preferred VPMN in a country is chosen, in other cases, SoR is about managing the proportion of revenue and traffic shares between two or more VPMNs.
SoR is the logical deduction from roaming/IOT agreements which are linked to volumes and percentages for one or more preferred VPMNs.
GlobalRoamer offers an SS7 SoR Testing solution not only geared to test the deployment of SoR servers according to GSMA IR.73, but also capable of detecting usage of Anti-SoR practices by non-preferred VPMNs according to IR.89.
Our primary business goal is to streamline our Customers’ roaming steering mechanisms based on end users’ experience so as to achieve optimized revenue from its outbound roamers.
